Friday's Favorite Things Extravaganza!

Happy Friday everyone! This has been one of the greatest weeks ever for me (so many awesome things happening that I get to announce in the coming months), so I wanted to treat everyone to a super special Friday's Favorite Things Extravaganza! I have so many awesome finds to share today! First up, I am so so sooo excited to see Populaire!
I love artsy foreign films, and this one looks so beautiful! I'm head-over-heels for the fashion and overall styling of this film. The clothes and colors are just swoon-worthy. I keep watching the trailer because it's so inspiring! ♥
2. This Cuckoo Clock Embroidery Pattern from Little Dear (found via Kitschy Digitals) is so dreamy! I cannot get over how cute it is!

3. A few pretty dresses that I'm swooning over. I'm really trying to incorporate more neutrals into my wardrobe because I tend to go color crazy. I think I can do it as long as the clothing has a pretty print. :)
4. I love this outdoor dining set. Green chairs, yes please!
5. Diamond pinata. DIAMOND PINATA! I need this for my 25th birthday party. Because why not?
6. How cute is this mushroom house backpack?! Um yeah, hello super cuteness!
7. Super helpful conversion chart from Chobani. I'm all for using greek yogurt in place of fatty ingredients for a healthy option.
8. This Home Office Tote from Martha Stewart is ideal for working while traveling. I'm never able to fully stop working while road tripping or on vacation, so I'll definitely be getting this.
9. This is the coolest neon sign I've ever seen! Fireflies in a mason jar? Too cool.
10. I just love all of these patterns and colors together. Very fresh.
11. Very smart list. I've written it down and am keeping it in my sketchbook as a daily reminder, especially for tough days.
12. This doily jewelry stand from Urban Outfitters is really the cutest. I love the color!

13. More pretties! Modcloth's been killing it lately with the cute patterned dresses and fun summer colors. Cutecute!
14. These mini ice cream cones are actually made with sugar cookies! How fun! I think this would be a blast for a birthday party or ice cream social. Plus, they're filled with jelly beans. Bonus!
15. 1960s mod inspiration for life! ♥
16. I'm in love with the Alice & Peter Cupcake Perfumes from Urban Outfitters! This one is orange cupcake with carrots and cinnamon...sounds more like a dessert than a perfume, haha!
17. This crochet rug made with t-shirt yarn looks so cozy! I think I'll make a little one as a kitchen rug for my apartment. Trying to decide if I should make it in all one color, or stripes like the one pictured. Hmmm.....
18. These color block bowls from Wind & Willow are really lovely. A bowl in each color would make a great set, and they'd be fun to pull out for a summer party!

Well, I hope you're not too tuckered out after looking through all of my favorites from the week. But guess what? It's the weekend! (Or, almost the weekend for some of you.) So go take a nap. You deserve it. :)
xo! Mandy

52 Weeks of Smoothies: PB + Celery + Apple

What do apples and celery have in common? They both taste amazing with peanut butter! That was the inspiration for this week's smoothie - a remix of some of my favorite childhood snacks (and let's be honest, my favorite adulthood snacks too). I was a little wary about how this smoothie would turn out...I had no clue if it was going to taste horrible. Luckily, it turned out great! You can really taste the crisp freshness of the celery, the light sweetness of the apple, and the creamy rich peanut butter flavor.......ohmygoshsogood. If you're a fan peanut butter (or need a way to sneak some celery into your diet), this smoothie is for you! :)
Peanut Butter, Celery, Apple Smoothie, serves 1
3/4 of a medium red apple, cored
1 celery stick, chopped into chunks with ends removed
1 Tbsp peanut butter, crunchy or smooth
1 small handful of raw almonds
1 Tbsp honey
1 cup cold spring water
4-5 ice cubes

This was a really fun smoothie experiment, and I love how it turned out. Let me know if you try it! What were some of your favorite healthy childhood snacks? Maybe I can use one to inspire my next smoothie! xo, Mandy

Turquoise + Lemongrass

I'm seriously in love with this color combo. I've never paired these two colors together, so I'm glad I tried them out because I love how fresh this duo is for summer. They kind of remind me of mermaids...like the colors of the ocean. Swoooon!

It's heating up here, which I'm loving. I feel like we only had about 2 weeks of pretty spring weather, and then we jumped right into lots of hot sun and humid air. I'm not complaining though, I live for this season. We're only 11 days from June (what?!), and I'm so ready to soak up every sun-drenched day of summer. I very much crave nature in the summertime. Ideally, I'd spend every day outside, but I'm not able to easily move my work. So, on busy work days I like to have every possible window open. This summer, I'm visiting as many garage sales and parks as I can to make up for having to be indoors so much. This will all change in a few weeks when I become self-employed though, which I couldn't be more excited about. I'll be able to paint and work on my computer while on my deck or at a park. Lots of time outside then. It's going to be wonderful! xo, Mandy

3. Super cute salmon clutch from Ever+Mi.Crush! I think I might switch to clutches this summer, they're so much easier to carry.

5. This bag from Asian iCandy. I'm dying! ♥
6. My pal Z wrote a really informative post about concert safety.....really wish I had read something like this a few years ago before losing my flip flops in a mosh pit and coming out with bruised legs. Trust me, read this.
7. This vintage 80s polka dot dress from Jess Amity is the bee's knees!
8. Art School Dropout's colorful geometric necklaces are my favorite, this one especially. They're just such a fun statement piece.

(Saturday's) Favorite Things!

1. I'm in love with this kitchen. IN LOVE. It's perfect!
2. I try to live by these words every day. You never know what someone else is going through, and even a simple smile can help turn their day around. :) (I'm hoping to buy this print for my bedroom. It's a great little reminder to see every morning!)

3. Smitten with these dresses this week. I love how sunshine-y they are, and I'm dying over flower and lace prints. Too cute!
4. I've recently become obsessed with Korean dramas! They're just so cute and I love how modest they are. Right now, I'm watching Boys Over Flowers and I love it so much! Lee Min-ho is dreeeeeamy. ♥
5. This artwork is so fantastic. I'm captivated by it. I wish I knew who the artist was...if any of you know, please leave their name in the comments so I can check out more of their work!
6. This gold-dripped cake is just too pretty. Ohmygoodness.
7. I love Martha. I think she's my role model for life. ♥
8. Gold Swedish Hasbeens! Can I have?
9. I'm loving this guide for packing a vacation carry-on. Reading it has got me in the traveling mood. I can't wait for things to calm down here so that I can take a little road trip down to Galveston for a long weekend. I need some time on the beach! :)
10. This is the coolest iHome speaker system I've seen yet. Reminds me of the 90s. I want.

Who else is super excited for this weekend? I'm spending the next two days getting caught up on some work and planning out my work and goals for the next few weeks. July 1st will be my first day as my own boss, and I'm both crazy excited and kind of scared. This will be the start of a whole new chapter of my life, and the spark that starts a bunch of exciting new changes to come. It's a thrilling time! xo, Mandy
