Hi there Miss Indie readers!  My name is Cat.  There are a few things you you should know about me:  I blog over at BrideBlu, love to thrift, and make handmade jewelry.  I blame my mom for my addiction to making things.  When my siblings and I were growing up, my mom had a tall floor to ceiling cupboard in the basement packed with crafty supplies ... we affectionately called it the "craft cupboard".  Many days of my childhood were happily spent with construction paper, pipe cleaners, beads, clothespins, cotton balls, fabric, scissors, and glue.

About 2 years ago I discovered Etsy.  I was completely inspired (and blown away!) by all of the creativity that was out there.  It was then that I realized that I was missing that much needed creative element in my life and BrideBlu was born.  Fast forward two years and I really couldn't be happier ... I love making jewelry (especially coming up with new designs!) and also enjoy listing some of the really rad vintage pieces I find during my flea market adventures.  It is that extra human touch and passion is what makes handmade so special and unique.  I also adore the personal connection that buying and selling handmade affords ... so much warmer than a cold checkout line at a mass retailer if you ask me :).  I do hope you stop by and say "Hi" sometime :)
