Friday's Favorite Things (it's back!)

Happy Friday everyone! I'm so happy to be back with a new FFT post. I haven't done one in almost a month, and let me tell you, I've missed them. They take a little bit to put together each week, but they're really one of my favorite posts. I love sharing things that inspire and interest me! ♥

1. This little DIY Christmas Tree kit is extra sweet. A little set of these would make the cutest centerpiece.

2. I'm dying over all of the beautiful things for sale at Modcloth right now. Swooooon. Have you seen their Christmas Gift Guides? They're awesome! Modcloth has guides based on person, style, favorite color, and more (it' so helpful!). Also, for my curvy friends, they have one of the best plus-size clothing sections I've ever seen. It's hard to not buy up every piece of clothing, haha. :)

3. I'm loving this DIY to make your own pom pom curtain. And guess how you make the pom poms? With a fork!

6. I can't get over how sweet and thoughtful this memory-making tradition is:
"Ready to start a Christmas tradition that the whole family will enjoy? I know you’ve all seen The Polar Express, well, this is our own version of that fun adventure! Each year we hide the “Golden Tickets” in our kids’ beds. My husband starts the bedtime routine as usual, while I prepare little bags of popcorn and hot chocolate drinks and place them in the car, oh and don’t forget to have Christmas music playing in the car too!

When the kids go to climb into bed, they will find the ticket hidden under their covers, get ready for lots of giggles and screams as they all find their tickets! The kids are then instructed to grab their slippers and head for the car.

Upon entrance to The Minivan Express, we hole punch the ticket (you know for effect and all.)Next, we travel around the city looking at all the beautiful lights. We may even stop somewhere for a fun snack on the way home. Now the kids look forward to this each year and look forward to getting “those special tickets”!"

I'm looking forward to getting the weekend started. We're finishing our Christmas decorations, and I have a bunch of DIY projects and recipes that I want to get started on. Also, the nails need to be painted. What do you guys think...red glitter for December or a pretty nude color? xo Mandy
