Friday's Favorite Things!

Happy Friday, dear friends! I have such a great collection of favorites from the week to share with you today. It's dreary and snowy here, so I've kind of used this post as a way to cheer myself up. Lots of florals and bright colors in store for you today! :)
1. I love these Long Distance Mugs from Shades of Grey. I think they'd be such a sweet gift for a friend moving away or for a long distance relationship. Katie's selling them in her shop, you can order a set here.
 2. Origrami is a new company that prints your Instagram photos polaroid-style or on a roll of film and ships them out in super cute and original packaging. I totally freaked out when a found out about them. The cost is about $20, and you get 36 Instagram photos with the photomap (if included), date taken, and amount of likes on the back of each photo. So cool!
3. This DIY iPad Case from the girls over at Oh So Lovely blog is super rad! I have this really cute polka dot felt that I was trying to figure out what to do with...well, now I know. *wink*
4. I have a weakness for fancy chocolate. Have I mentioned this before? After trying this bar, I've got a wicked sweet tooth to try out some more. These bars from Sweeteeth sounds absolutely amazing. Peanut butter + Chipotle? Yes please.
5. I am obsessed with eggshell gardens. I've already decided that they will be part of the centerpieces for my future wedding, and I really want to make some for this spring/summer. I think they're just the cutest. ♥
6. And speaking of spring/summer, how lovely are these dresses? I love the embroidered details on this dress (how cute for a family barbecue?), and this dress has such a pretty bohemian style. I think it'd be darling paired with cowboy boots and a daisy-chain crown.
7. Love this print. Love this quote. Love the design. Love it all.
8. More scalloped goodness! This bag from ASOS is beautiful, and I love that it's a neutral color because it can go with everything. So pretty...
9. I love this behind-the-scenes shot from the Orla Kiely AW13 collection. That yellow coat is the bee's knees.

I wanted to talk about something before I end this post. As of yesterday, I've started moderating the comments on this blog. This wasn't something that I wanted to do, but apparently I have to because my lovely little bunch of "haters" were getting out of control. This isn't me trying to censor the voice of my readers or only let the good comments through, it's just what I have to do to deal with all of the spam and rude comments. I have no problem with differing opinions and always welcome constructive criticism (that's how we grow as artists, right?), but I draw the line at name-calling and hateful words. This is my blog and it is not a place for negativity. Period. This is a place for inspiration, creativity, and positivity. So yeah! Spread love, not hate! :)

I heart you guys a whole bunch. I hope you all have really great weekends! xo, Mandy

  4. You go girl! I do not like how there are so many people out there who take the time to leave negative and hurtful comments. You don't deserve that. No one does. I love your blog. I've been following it forever, and I admire what you do. Now knowing about you having to deal with nasty comments, I admire you even more for keeping your blog such a happy and positive space. Good for you and keep doing what you're doing:) We should all be supportive of one another and spread the love to build people up rather than tear them down. I hope you're having a great day! I live in Kansas City, so share your sentiment about the snow. Thanks for sharing your favorite things for the week--I love that print and eggshell garden;)

  7. Hi Mandy,
I was really shocked to hear that you've been receiving ugly comments! Why do people feel the need to be so hateful? There isn't anything about you to hate! If people don't like your blog then why read it? This blog is fun, cheery, inspirational and positive. Maybe miserable souls need to try to make others miserable I guess. Sad. I'm really happy you put a stop to it. Keep up the great job you're doing and don't let anyone rain on your parade! We Italian girls don't tolerate people mistreating us!Lol!

  16. I like the way you stand up in front of this situation, you are strong and they do not diserve your attention. You are lovely, you make a pretty blog, like the quote say : you are so good that people cant ignore you! Enough of that now, I just wanted to say how much I want to try Origami! I will begin an Instagram account soon and I totally want them printed like that!
