Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I thought I would treat myself to some goodies. I have a weakness for spicy chocolate. I blame my friend Danielle, she got me hooked a couple years ago and my sweet tooth has never been the same. It's so good!
I've been obsessed with hummus lately, especially this chipotle hummus that I bought a few days ago. Oh my gosh, it's crazy how yummy this stuff is. It's got a little bit of a kick, and I love eating it with sliced veggies and blue chips. Definitely one of my favorite quick lunches.
My glasses collection is reaching hoarder-level, haha. I'm going to be selling a bunch of them in the Shop My Closet section in my new shop, which will be open in the next few weeks. I've been wanting to do a SMC for so long because I have a ton of accessories and clothes that I want to get rid of. I'm going to be selling a bunch of stuff and down-sizing to make my move easier. And do you know what that means? Lots of goodies for you guys to choose from! :)
A warm cup of tea has been such a comfort to me that past few days. It's very soothing and allows me a few moments to relax and clear my head. My current favorite flavors are white peach, rose, chocolate hazelnut, and chamomile. What are some of your favorite teas?
Just enjoying the simple pleasures of fresh produce and feeling good from the inside out. The best change I've made this year was the decision to go almost completely meat-free and to focus on clean eating. I'm taking charge of my lifestyle and my body and what goes into each, and there are so many good things coming about because of it. After your earlier responses, I'll be writing up a post later this week sharing all of the changes I've been making, which I'm really excited about.
I've been feeling so motivated, inspired, and blessed lately. It really does pay off to surround yourself with positivity and good things. You should make every day the best it can be. Do something each day that challenges you and makes you feel better about yourself. Do what makes you happy! Live your life pursuing those things that light you up inside and make you excited to start each day. It's worth it...you're worth it. Don't let a day go by without chasing your dreams and creating your own happiness. It's not impossible. I believe in each and every one of you! xoxo. Mandy

I am happy that you are happy -really-! I just love hummus, being a vegetarian for now around 6 years, I eat a lot of hummus!!! It is so important to eat well, I have trouble myself on controling quantities I think the most important is that whenever you eat, you have to be conscious. Like, you know that you are eating, and taking time for it. Sometimes, I just forget and I eat a lot in those times! So continue with this positive vibe, it is contagious!
ReplyDelete-sorry for my english, I am from Quebec, I talk french-

Oh my goodness I am such a tea fiend, but I have to admit I do like black teas (I'm British and that's the excuse I'm sticking to). A Ceylon, Earl Grey or Rose tea, lovely! I am also on a healthy eating drive (lower fats, more fish and veg etc) but the occasional toasted teacake with that cuppa is a real treat. Glad you're enjoying your new self!

ReplyDeleteI've been focusing lately on clean eating and I definitely have noticed that my body now CRAVES red peppers, tomatoes, avocado....things I never would have found myself eating last year!
I love your last paragraph, what a wonderful way to start my week - thank you :)

I love hummus, I sort of ask for every time I go to store...okay I point it out. I'm not so luck to have more than one pair of sunglasses, they break easily for me but is awesome that you are selling stuff from your closet.

I love how you always aim to inspire us to live our lives better and happier, sometimes all you need is someone saying you can do it, to believe in it yourself. I'm happy that you provide that for us :)
ReplyDeleteAs for favourite teas, the apple/cinnamon/raisin one is probably my favourite at the moment, it tastes like apple pie. I recently found After Eight tea (you know like..the chocolate?) and it's the most delicious thing ever. I can't have much caffeine so I need to watch out, I could easily drink two pots a day of that stuff!
I'm taking charge over my well-being in a different way, see carbohydrates make me awfully nauseous so I've now decided to go through with the whole detox thing (you don't realise how addicted you are until I cut them completely out of your diet, the cravings are ridiculous, you'd think I'm a recovering alcoholic or something..), because it'll be worth it and I'll feel better after. At least I hope so :P
I hope you have a great weekend! The sun is shining here so I'm gonna go for a walk in the snow!

I used to despise tomatos, but now I enjoy them on salads and such! Cherry tomatoes are delicious. Have you ever roasted them before? They're wonderful and sweet. I've considered going vegetarian--I don't consume a lot of meat to begin with, and I know I would feel a lot healthier without it. Cutting red meat out of your diet definitely helps with digestion.
