Words for sad days

I've had a pretty lousy 24 hours. Little things, that normally are not a big deal, have been piling up and causing me stress. The worst of it is the fact that I accidentally erased the app on my phone that had all of my notes, lists, blog ideas, and future projects. Like, seriously...I lost everything. There are not enough curse words in the English language to express my frustration.
Oh, and I also busted my shin on a chair while chasing puppies, and now have a big painful bruise. Oh joy.

So, today's post is going to be totally different from what I had originally planned for the day. Today, I'm sharing some inspiring and motivating words, for those days that are especially difficult to get through.

I hope you guys are having a better day than me. Hopefully a super awesome day! :) What do you like to do to make a bad day better? xo, Mandy

  2. Chin up. It really stinks that you lost all of your notes but they'll start piling up before you know it!
I love the last inspirational quote. Especially with so much hate in the world a little kindness goes a long way.
    Have a good day!

  3. I'm so sorry to hear that this has happened! I've been going through something similar. All my university work from the past week has suddenly disappeared from my laptop, and nobody can seem to fix it. It's frustrating, and I now have so many all-nighters ahead of me to catch up. But I still love your post today, just the kind of words of encouragement I needed :)

  5. Thank you for this post. It's frustrating reading blogs where everything is portrayed as "perfect" 100% of the time. I appreciate your honesty and candidness. Hope today goes more smoothly than yesterday.

  9. Well when you're at the bottom, the only way you can go is up right? Hope you're feeling better miss. I loved that first photo in this post so much I made it my background and it makes me smile!

  10. Yesterday a friend of mine died. It's left me feeling profoundly sad but it’s reminded me of the important things. I know it’s cheesy but little things like making sure the people closest to you know that you truly love them. It’s also reminded me that no matter how important you think you are, or how big your salary, or how flash your car, being content and happy with your life should be a priority. x
PS. Hope I'm not bringing anyone down. Although this is a really sad time I'm actually feeling quite positive

  12. Oh wow that sucks, I had my phone stolen last year and it had everything, pictures, text messages, notes, of course I didn't have a backup :/

So I feel your pain, if you run out of swear words in English, I'll teach you some German ones!

  17. I hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. We have had a lot of stress (illnesses; and I had emergency abdominal surgery on 02/18) and sadness (death of one of our pets) in our household lately, so I feel you. I know it can be hard sometimes, but I hope that you'll be able to focus on the positive instead of the negative.

P.S. Seeing as how your blog has really taken off, have you considered getting a domain name for it? missindiedesigns.com looks so much better than missindiedesigns.blogspot.com. :)

  21. Let it out, girl! What a big bad bummer. :(

About a month ago, my computer just went kapoot! The computer that stores all my photos, videos, games, *ahem* passwords! I've been so frustrated trying to get the help I need to fix it and I'm still waiting.

Thanks for your encouraging post! It made me smile. :) (oh, and I my go-to cheer up is listening to music loudly and dancing.. with my door closed of course. haha)

  22. awww I'm super sorry about your day. Seems we all have at least one in a month...or a couple. But I saw a quote that really helps me get there the work week. "It's okay to have a bad day, just don't turn it into a bad week"...or something like that. lol Remember! Be awesome!

  23. These quotes are such a great way to shake off a bad day! I absolutely love this. I had a bad day yesterday and made a "silly" blog post to cheer myself up. Nothing make me smile faster than laughing at myself. :)

  26. These are so great. Thank you so much. It really brightened up my dad and inspired me to get my butt up and do things that make me feel great instead of dwelling on things. I hope your weekend is a lot of fun.
